Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a secondary school in the Scarborough area. The Head Teacher is seeking a Science Teacher to commence a long term post from the October half term until at least Easter 2018 (potentially permanent for the perfect candidate). The vacancy is available on a full time basis and the successful applicant will teach Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) taking GCSE groups in all three Sciences.
Based in Scarborough, this secondary school has been graded 'Good' by Ofsted. The Science Department requires a dedicated and innovative Teacher of Science to deliver a creative and inspiring curriculum to motivate KS4 students to realise their full potential. Expectations for behaviour across the school are very high and the successful applicant must possess strong behaviour management skills to uphold these standards. Applications are encouraged from NQTs and experienced teachers.
The successful applicant will have:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for Science
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
