Retirement Advantage are an established, award-winning financial services company that can trace its roots back to 1852, offering retirement income and equity release products to consumers. The Equity Release business is a rapidly growing division of Retirement Advantage having doubled its revenue this year and is recruiting across the board to match. In addition the group has recently been acquired by Canada Life which will provide even further growth potential with the security of a large corporate.
The role will be within the Equity Release finance team presenting ample opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business and access to senior management and stakeholders. The position will require someone with a forward thinking and dynamic personality who can adapt to change quickly. Retirement Advantage is known for its innovation in both products and systems and requires someone with an equal mind-set to develop the finance function.
Key duties and responsibilities
Assist in the creation of monthly management accounts and monthly MI for management
Assist in the creation of the monthly finance risk report
Responsible for inputting daily accounting journals into the system
Manage cash flow between Retirement Advantage and third parties
Process invoices and bank journals and manage supplier cash books
Manage petty cash and process staff expenses
Assist in financial operations when necessary
Opportunity to complete ACCA qualification
Minimum of 2.1 degree
Good attention to detail, forward thinking and adaptive to change
Good communicator, able to speak and write clearly using plain English.
A positive and friendly attitude, capable of working both alone and in small teams, and helping people with technical issues.
Able to deliver to deadlines
Desire to be an accountant
