Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a temporary English teacher on behalf of our client Roman Catholic secondary school located in Bolton.

This high achieving 11-18 secondary school wish to appoint an English teacher from November 2017 to cover a maternity leave within their English department.

• Full time English teacher - Maternity cover from November 2017
• Ofsted graded good secondary school located on the outskirts of Bolton town centre
• Outstanding English department that achieve excellent examination results
• Both experienced and newly qualified teachers welcome to apply
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (GBP22,467 - GBP38,250)

This is the ideal opportunity for an English teacher to join a well resourced and managed English department highlighted as an outstanding department by Ofsted. The incoming English teacher will be joining a close knit department who other full support to one another. The department is made up of 5 other members of staff and 2 full time subject specific support staff.

The head of department is looking to appoint an English teacher who:

• Can impact the progress of pupils ranging in ability across key stage 3 and 4
• Is able to evidence a proven record of delivering 'Good' or 'Outstanding' teaching practice
• Will be committed to taking on full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking and attending termly parents evenings

The school holds a strong catholic ethos, although it is not essential that you are catholic to be considered for this position, applicants must respect the catholic ethos. Located a short drive from the M61 motorway and has direct access to central Manchester. There are just over 950 pupils on roll in school with an average number of pupils speak English as an additional language.
