An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small HR team within a rapidly growing Financial Services company, based in Reigate, Surrey. The business has recently been acquired by a global leader in Credit Management Services (CMS). With a global presence in 20 countries, you will be provided with an environment within which you work that is supportive, refreshing and progressive.

This role is a fixed-term position, covering a period of maternity leave until approximately September 2018. Working in a small HR team reporting to the HR Advisor, you will assist in supporting approximately 150 employees.

This is a true generalist role where you will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle as well as payroll, managing HR systems, supporting recruitment, employee relations, and ad-hoc project work.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be confident, articulate and enjoy working in a challenging and demanding environment.

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for:

* Recruitment - including development of advertisements, screening applications, shortlisting and interviewing
* Conducting pre-employment vetting, including credit checks, DBS checks and obtaining references
* Prepare all new starter files and organise the archiving of leaver files
* HR Administration - creation of offer letters, new contracts, variations of contracts and ad-hoc employee correspondence
* HR reporting and data analysis
* Maintenance of employee files
* Payroll responsibilities - administering payroll submissions in a timely manner, ensuring 100% accuracy
* Supporting line managers across the business with HR Policy queries
* Assisting in minute-taking within disciplinary, recruitment and flexible-working meetings
* Booking and organising HR training sessions

Essential Criteria:

* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or hold the Level 3 or working towards a CIPD qualification
* Some experience within an HR/Recruitment environment is essential
* Intermediate IT and Microsoft Excel skills - including use of complex formulas and pivot tables
* Excellent eye for detail
* Interpersonal and communication skills which are able to be adapted to a range of situations
* The ability to demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality in appropriate circumstances
