Our client now have seven London borough clients and require an individual to join their office in Milton Keynes with a focus on working with these London clients. The Local Re-Generation Manager will be a shared resource between our London customers and will help to upskill the local unemployed and get individuals identified by the Council back in to work.

Our London Re-Generation Manager will also work with our Business Director to support a local supply chain and ensure all employment opportunities with the Council and other local businesses are broadcast to the local community. Their responsibilities will include:

Role/Responsibilities:
• Engaging parents or carers with childcare responsibilities, young people (16-24), BAME residents and residents who are disabled or who have long term health conditions to get in to work.
• Developing CV writing skills through workshops
• Interview and job application skills
• Connecting with Agencies in the supply chain where their skills are more suited to supply via an alternative route
• Other general skills development such as Microsoft Office package training which will aid employability.
• Provide localism monitoring information on a regular basis such as the number of apprenticeship opportunities created.

Our Re-Generation Manager for London will be tasked in ensuring we see a year on year rise in the numbers of 'in-borough' workers and suppliers engaging with the London Boroughs. We will seek to agree these targets with the Council as part of our Social Value Action Plan during implementation of the new contract. We expect the successful applicant to deliver this, Social Value Action Plan, which we will look to agree with the Council:
• Commit to one workshop a quarter on employability and training for local young people not in education, employment or training.
• Commit to being a Business mentor once a quarter within local colleges and schools
• Workshops can be held with staff at risk of redundancy and if applicable will get registered with a local agency.
• Commit to a community initiative per annum - this could include visits to elderly community at risk of loneliness, food bank initiatives and painting /decorating specific local projects.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5:30pm
Location - Milton Keynes, but travel to London will be required
