An Operational Trainer is required to join Southern Water's busy team based in Falmer/Worthing, to provide training and coaching to support the learning of employees, increasing the relevant skill, knowledge and capability within specific functions.
Liaising with the Training Delivery Manager and L&D Facilitators, you will set up, implement and review appropriate systems and methods for training needs analysis, identify training needs for Customer Service and Revenue using training needs analysis, and agree priorities and scheduled programmes of delivery for on-the-job training (training needs will include induction, refresher training and up skilling). You will design, develop, deliver and carry out evaluation of training and learning interventions, using Kirkpatrick model levels 1, 2 & 3, and ensure changes are implemented as appropriate. You will provide 1:1 performance coaching to support learners as necessary, arrange, create, produce and distribute training-related material and facilities, co-ordinate and administer all logistics for training programmes and events, keep accurate training records which are comprehensive and up-to-date, deal with enquiries relating to training and development and escalate as necessary, and keep up-to-date with developments in training and recommend implementation within the business accordingly.
Suitable candidates will have previous experience in training needs analysis, training design and development, and training delivery. You will have a CIPD qualification (or equivalent) ideally with a training focus, strong IT skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
