Person Specification

To be successful in your application you must be a resilient senior teacher looking for more responsibility or a current capable Inclusion Manager seeking a new challenge who has worked in an environment with a large proportion of pupils with 'English as an Additional Language' requirements and worked in an inner city school previously. You will be an experienced teacher who can communicate with and work closely with teachers, students, parents and carers on a close level. The successful candidate will have a wealth of SEN experience and knowledge that they are keen to utilise at this primary school.

About the Role

As an Inclusion Manager your role will involve you leading the development of Inclusion and Welfare at all stages. Working successfully alongside external agencies will be a crucial element to your role to ensure that children make sufficient progress and achieve their full potential. Day-to-day, you will be earning the respect of parents by keeping them informed of changes in the school and the progression of their children by attending PTA meetings throughout the year. In this post you will be allocating portions of the SEN budget for resources, keeping up-to-date about the latest equipment and development material.

The School

This 2-form entry primary school is found in Islington and is close to underground and national rail links. The school has been consistently graded as good by Ofsted and is on its way to 'Outstanding'. The dedication of teachers at this school sees pupils who join the school with a low ability go on to achieve above and beyond expectations. Due to an increase in SEN students, teachers have developed an environment that helps them settle into the school and maintain focus on their lessons. It is fully up-to-date, boasting Large grounds and has an excellent image throughout the local community.
