We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Social Worker to join our Leaving Care team. You will be joining a team comprising of a Team Manager, Social Workers and Personal Advisers. You will work with young people aged 16 - 25 who are Children in Care or Care leavers, supporting them in their preparation and transition to adulthood.
Our South locality teams are co-located with our Early Help Hub in South Norfolk Council's modern office building, which is situated close to community resources such as the sure start centre, schools, Long Stratton Leisure Centre and GP surgery.

As a large county Norfolk has 6 localities delivering services to children and families. Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, Breckland, South Norfolk, North Norfolk and Broadland, Gt Yarmouth and Norwich. Each locality in the area has a dedicated Head of Social Work based locally and is co-located with a strong early help service.
The South Locality is based in Long Stratton, an area with an exciting development plan to become a town with a village feel. Children's Services are based with the District Council and other multi-agency colleagues in a modern building. Long Stratton is central to Wymondham, Diss and 15 minutes' drive from Norwich. South Norfolk has excellent road links to Suffolk, Essex and Cambridge, with regular rail services through to London and Peterborough, from there you can travel anywhere!
To join our social work team it is essential that you have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and full HCPC registration. You will need to have at least 2 years post qualifying social work experience (which includes the successful completion of your Assisted and Supported Year in Employment) and the ability to travel.
