We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional to drive the development and delivery strategy of our L&D offer for our external audience groups; Cancer Workforce (healthcare professionals supporting people with cancer), People Living with Cancer and our Corporate Partners. This new role will also play a critical part in influencing and informing external organisations and partners on cancer related training gaps that exist for medical professionals across the U.K.

Working in line with our frameworks for Workforce, Community Engagement and Corporate Partners, you will develop the strategic direction of our offer and a plan for implementation, as well as the processes and resources to deliver it. Although this role sits outside of HR, you will work closely with Macmillan's wider L&OD team to ensure plans and ways of working are aligned. Internally you will work with key stakeholders across Macmillan to support the delivery of our offer to the audience groups, while externally you will work strategically with organisations and partners such as RCN, RCGP, Departments of Health etc., to inform and influence on the changing training needs of cancer medical professionals.

About you
Experienced at a senior level either in NHS / private healthcare training and development or within the education sector (higher, further or adult), you'll blend thought leadership in education practices with the proven ability to develop strategy, plan implementation and deliver within an operational context. You will be comfortable working across organisational boundaries and developing productive & strategic partnership and stakeholder relationships.

What can we offer you?
In return, we commit actively to develop you and offer excellent benefits including a 34.5 hour week (with an early finish on Friday), private medical insurance, life assurance, pension (including option to remain in NHS pension scheme if currently contributing), childcare vouchers, generous annual leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
