Location: Aurora Meldreth Manor School and Orchard Manor Adult Services, Hertfordshire, SG8 6LG
Situated in the village of Meldreth on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire boarder, Meldreth and Orchard Manor provide services for a range of people with disabilities including a school, children's home, adults home and skills centre.
Meldreth and Orchard Manor provide high quality, person centred care for people with highly complex developmental, care or medical needs. It briefly comprises of:
- Meldreth Manor School - graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted
- Meldreth Manor Children's home - graded GOOD by Ofsted
- Orchard Manor Adults home - graded OUTSTANDING by CQC
- Orchard Manor Adult Skills Centre (not registered)
The Aurora Group purchased Meldreth and Orchard Manor in April 2016 and are investing significantly in developing, updating and improving the service, both for the existing students and residents and a wider group of people who would benefit from the service. Developments include a new Aquatherapy pool, an on site Caf?? for work experience, upgraded accommodation and new Rebound facilities.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who, as Principal, will lead Meldreth and Orchard Manor. Candidates must be able to evidence their success in leading and delivering educational, and care provision, and show a strong record of successful strategic institutional change and improvement. They must have a commitment to excellence and equality in everything that they do.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across the service. With responsibility ensuring value for money, widening access, and shaping the future of the service.
