Practice Manager - Multi agency Safeguarding Hub

The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub is an exciting new development that has brought together social workers and other professionals to provide an effective way to manage referrals in West Sussex. The MASH works with agencies to identify risks to families who need support and identifies if a child or children are at risk of harm and require protection. The MASH considers all the county wide referrals / concerns, then after requesting information from other agencies makes decisions about which agency can provide the best service for the family. This includes those at risk of CSE, missing and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking children. The main focus of this service is to fully utilise the skills of our partner agencies and make a decision using the continuum of need of how best to safeguard children and young people.

Passionate about making a difference, you will be responsible for the development of skills and experience in the workforce and managing activities within your operational area. Your role will be to strengthen professionalism so that Children's Services and Early Help not only do things 'right' but are also 'doing the right thing' to help a particular child. You will ensure that the service provides the professional expertise that meets the needs of children, young people and families.
