Chestnut Tree House is the children's hospice in Sussex. We provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Sussex and south east Hampshire.

Salary GBP28,740 - GBP34,820 p.a. FTE - depending on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager you will be responsible for leading your team to ensure a high standard of holistic, individualised care to the children and young people we care for and their families.
We understand that it takes a very special person to care for a child or young person with a life-shortening condition. Paediatric palliative care is a growing and challenging speciality which will utilise all of your clinical and interpersonal skills. With your breadth of experience and transferable skills, coupled with our support and friendly team, we can help you to succeed.
The successful applicant will be a Registered Nurse who is a reflective practitioner with at least 3 years' post registration experience and at least 2 years' recent experience within a paediatric environment. You will have experience of managing and co-ordinating the care of children with complex needs as well as staff supervision and shift co-ordination. You will be able to demonstrate the potential to develop strong leadership and management skills, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the flexibility to work independently or as part of a team and to meet the needs of the service.
