Policy and Insight Development Assistant

Fast forward your career with London South East Colleges

This is an exciting time to join London South East Colleges. Following a number of mergers we are now one of the largest and fastest growing Colleges in London. As a result we have a number of new positions available based at our Orpington campus, just 25 minutes from central London and with great transport links.

This role is a perfect opportunity for a recent graduate keen to make their mark in a Policy and Development role. With an interest in the changing education and economic landscape you will be comfortable working with a range of internal and external partners in the development a new Policy and Insight function for the growing LSEC Group, which currently consists of London South East Colleges, London South East Academies Trust and the Training Provider - Skills for Growth.

You will play a lead role in supporting the eleven Industry Advisory Boards through which employers shape and develop the LSEC Group policy and practice. Using employer intelligence gathered through these boards, and your ability to synthesise data and information from a wide range of sources, you will produce high quality written reports which support the strategic development of the LSEC Group.

Reporting to the Executive Director this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast paced environment where hard work is recognised and rewarded. If you think this is for you, get in touch!

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check.

Closing date: Monday 16 October 2017

Interviews: 24 th and 25 th October 2017
