  • Job Duties
  • Manage and build one-to-one business relationships with all relevant personnel at each Key Account, ensuring a contact management strategy is designed, regularly reviewed and actively managed.
  • Actively manage the accounts to ensure targets for new business and retention are met, both in terms of premium income and profit levels.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the specified group of IFAs to create a significant industry presence. From these connections drive out opportunities to increase the potential for new business and improve retention of existing business, ensuring a clear business plan is drawn up, regularly reviewed and actively managed.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to increase the level of business from the specified group of IFAs including specially negotiated individual customer deals and sales initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise on Legal & General's products and overall proposition, ensuring this knowledge is shared with all key customers with the result that our proposition is valued and market share increased.
  • Be confident and effective at delivering presentations both on a one to one basis and also in beauty parade scenarios. Actively seek out opportunities to deliver key messages to a wide range of customers.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues, to ensure the business plans are shared and service expectations are agreed and regularly monitored.
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback of competitor pricing, highlighting conclusions and recommendations at regular intervals to the Group Protection Management Team.
  • Be aware of trends and changes within the Group Protection market and provide timely feedback to management and the marketing team, ensuring that L&G is able to react quickly to competitors and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that appropriate sales quality is achieved through a balanced sales management approach, including appropriate controls on adviser pay, incentives and rewards, so they are aligned with Legal & General's Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy
  • Ensure that Legislative, Revenue, Disclosure and Regulatory requirements which apply to Group Protection are adhered to and that L&G's standards and policies are upheld.
  • Skills Required
  • ???
    • Extensive sales/account management experience in financial services.
    • Substantial experience practicing in role with EBC/IFA in financial services market
    • Knowledge of financial services products, ideally Protection (Group or Individual)
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills both verbal and written
    • Demonstrable levels of high achievement drive (evidence of exceeding targets/objectives)
    • High degree of resilience
    • Evidence of ability to plan/manage own time effectively
