Title: Credit Control Manager
Salary: GBP30,000

We are looking for a skilled Credit Control Manager who prides themselves on their ability to reduce debtors and improve team output.
The desired individual will be proactive, motivated, assertive yet warm. Previous experience managing a small team is essential with proven success in implementing processes, procedures and targets.
Working within a warm friendly team you will have full responsibility of the entire credit control function.
Previous experience is essential!!!!!

• Ensuring the team meet their SLA's as detailed
• Ensure departmental procedures are documented and kept up to date for review and implementation by the Finance Manager.
• To conduct basic training with new team members, ensuring they are equipped to perform the tasks required of them.
• Provide any information requested by the Finance Manager or Company Partners
• Actively look for ways to improve the team i.e. more effective procedures, cost savings, potential IT, identify training needs.

• Highlight any areas of concern/potential improvement to the Finance Manager, or Partners in their absence.
• Ensuring the sales ledger procedures are run efficiently (raising and posting invoices, DD's collected etc) and effectively.
• Send reminder emails through the credit control application to clients as per the collection cycle.
• Reviewing accounts to be placed on and off hold when needed.
• Chase clients who haven't settled outstanding invoices within the payment terms.
• Taking card payments over the phone.
• Assist Sales Ledger during busy periods and cover annual leave.
• Produce monthly reports to the Finance Manager within SLA.
• Set up and monitor payment arrangements and promises of payments with clients as per company procedures.
• If a company has a proposal to strike off with Companies House enter an objection to suspend striking off the company.
• Achieve collections above the company expectations.
• Oversee the management of the credit control function.

Key Attributes
• Ideally position requires minimum of 2 years' experience in a managerial role.
• Professional qualifications are not essential but desirable to AAT standards
• Someone who is focused and results driven
• Highly numeric with the ability to problem solve
• Previous experience using SAGE or SAP
• Organised individual who is efficient and hardworking
• Having a good work ethic and to be willing
