8a Clinical/Counseling Psychologist for an 'Outreach and Screen' service to support those impacted by recent terrorist incidents
We are seeking 1.0 WTE psychologist to assist with a newly commissioned service providing trauma screening services to people affected by Major Incidents (Westminster, London Bridge and Finsbury Park) in London.
The service is led by the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma at South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, and is a collaboration between SLAM and the Traumatic Stress Clinic in Camden and Islington. The post holder will be based in the Traumatic Stress Clinic and will be responsible for assessing people affected by the recent terrorist attacks to assess their mental health, formulation of their current difficulties, report writing and onward referral and liaising with local services for appropriate treatments. The postholder will assist in clinically related administration as well as with the development of training presentations and materials. The post holder will be expected to meet with and report to the screening team in SLaM as and when required.
The post holder must be experienced in the assessment and treatment of PTSD. The job is open to job share.
