Team Manager - Fostering Service
Band G, GBP40,057 - GBP49,583
Solihull is in the heart of the country, with excellent transport links, plus a standard of living and social and cultural offerings that rival many of the big cities - all with stunning countryside right on our doorstep. But while many Solihull locals enjoy a good lifestyle, some of the more vulnerable families and children in the area need our support. And that's why we're recruiting for a Fostering Service Team Manager to join us to improve the quality of life for our looked after children.
As Team Manager for the Fostering Service, you will be responsible for leading and managing the service, including recruiting and retaining foster carers. Constantly seeking out ways in which we can improve and increase the range and availability of placement options, you will ensure our resources are being used efficiently and that our staff are being developed to their full capabilities.
To thrive in this important role, you will be an HCPC registered Social Worker with substantial experience in Children's Social Work Services. Able to effectively engage and build relationships with a range of partners, including foster carers, you will be able to influence an environment which supports excellent practice. However it is your management experience and skill that will set you apart. Already an accomplished leader, you will be able to demonstrate confidence and a positive approach to managing risk, budgets and resources.
Within this supportive council, we're committed to ensuring every child grows up in a safe and stable environment, going on to fulfil their adult potential. If you share this ethos and are ready to make an active difference to the wellbeing of these children and their carers, then we want to hear from you.
