Primary SEN Teacher for Autism Provision Person Specification

To be considered you must be a capable Primary Teacher with relevant SEN/ASD experience and ideally 2 years of teaching experience. You should have the capacity to embrace the students' ideas and inventions when addressing the subject matter and the initiative to work by yourself or well within a team. The Headteacher wants to recruit a teacher with a self motivated personality that spurs them on to want to hit the ground running. You should have the capability to ensure you are teaching in a fun, accessible way and evidence a lifelong love of educating others.

About the Primary SEN Teacher for Autism Provision Role

This Primary SEN Teacher for Autism Provision role involves you joining one of the school's KS2 classes within their specialist ASD provision. The class currently consists of 6 students within KS2 all with ASD, this may grow to a class of 8 during the school year. The school will support your teaching by providing a full-time experienced and talented TA. Use the school's sensory rooms to create an interesting learning experience and you will be ably assisted by an inspirational Inclusion Manager. The school is led by a dedicated Headteacher who understands the needs of staff and students, and really takes everyone's suggestions into account.
