As an applicant for this role, you are urged to demonstrate within your supporting statement a combination of evidence that reflects your competence to meet the job specification and provide examples of how C&I values are an integral part of the way you have and will continue to deliver service.

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist in the Trust's Recovery and Rehabilitation (R&R) Division, which provides services for people with psychosis or bipolar disorders and associated problems.

The 1.0 wte Band 7 permanent post provides a psychology service to Montagu Ward (0.5 wte) and the Camden Intensive Support and Re-ablement Team (0.5 wte). These teams are both part of the Trust's rehabilitation services. A Job Description and Person Specification is attached.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply assessment, formulation, therapeutic and consultation skills with individuals, families and carers across a wide range of complex referrals. They will also be involved in joint working and consultation with multi-disciplinary team members, supervision of relevant staff, staff training, and service audit and development projects.

They will be expected to practice as an independent clinician and work autonomously within professional guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service. There is a genuine commitment to regular supervision in the psychology service and very good scope for continued professional development within the Trust. Previous experience of working with people with psychosis is essential.

The post requires Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Clinical or Counselling psychologist. If the person has received their Clinical or Counselling psychology qualification but still awaits HCPC registration, or if there is significant delay in obtaining qualification as a result of requirements to make major thesis corrections, then initial appointment at Band 6 as a trainee psychologist, with progression to Band 7 when both qualification and HCPC registration are in place, will be considered.

Only those applicants who demonstrate clearly how they meet our person specification will be shortlisted for interview. If you have not been contacted within 4-6 weeks of the closing date please assume you have not been shortlisted for the next stage.

We reserve the right to close any vacancies from further submissions, when we have received sufficient applications from which to make a shortlist. Please ensure you apply without delay if you wish to be considered for this role. We are an employer committed to Equal Opportunities and Diversity, with a range of family friendly policies.
