Recovery and Rehabilitation Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist within Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust in the Recovery and Rehabilitation Division. The primary treatment focus in this Division involves working with people with psychosis or bipolar disorders and associated difficulties. This post will be based on Sutherland Ward at St Pancras Hospital and may also involve working in other rehab services in the Trust. Sutherland Ward has 14 beds and provides the Trust's long-term inpatient rehabilitation care for clients with psychosis and complex mental health problems.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide psychological assessments and psychological interventions under the supervision of a clinical psychologist, to attend team meetings as appropriate, assist in clinically-related administration, and develop and conduct audits and other project work. They will be expected to work independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. The successful applicant will be dynamic, self-motivated, organised and creative and will have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of working with clients with psychosis and/or in inpatient settings is essential.
