A fantastic role working for a leading British arts institution

Our client houses a unique collection of portraits of the men and women who have helped shape British history and culture. Now numbering over 12,000 portraits the primary collection embraces every medium - oil paintings, drawings, miniatures, photographs, mixed/new media and sculpture. Besides this the y have a photograph collection of 250,000 images and a reference collection of 80,000 prints. They have an increasingly high public profile and now attract over 2 million visitors to their galleries and regional partnerships.

Position: Corporate Development Manager
Location: London
Contract: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract 18 Months (with the potential to be made permanent)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: GBP32,000 to GBP35,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, the Corporate Development Manager is responsible for securing new business leads and corporate supporters.

Our client is one of the country's premier attractions with over 2 million visits in 2015. They receive less than 40% of their funding through a government grant and has to generate the rest itself. The Development team is responsible for fundraised income from companies, individuals and trusts and foundations, raising more than GBP3m each year, of which approximately GBP1.5m is raised by the corporate development team.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working either as a fundraiser or in a client-facing/account management role within a marketing or sales environment and will ideally have some exposure to the not for profit/arts and heritage sector. In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate the confidence and ability to work in partnership with corporate clients whilst providing high quality client care, along with good team working skills and excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
