Set within green belt, off the M25, A1M and M1 the District includes a cathedral, historic city centre and charming villages. We are looking for a team leader to join our team to provide financial planning, budget monitoring and support for designated services within the Council. You will also provide day-to-day Treasury Management Services for Council's investment portfolio, and help to improve existing controls and processes within the team; ensuring high quality information is provided to support the Council.

Working knowledge of short and medium term financial planning, capital accounting systems and procedures is essential for this post. You will also need a clear understanding of budget preparation and monitoring (capital and revenue). We are ideally looking for a qualified accountant (CCAB or AAT), however we would also welcome applications from individuals who are part qualified with equivalent experience in the field.

You should have excellent numerical and analytical skills, good communication skills and a proven track record of successfully working in a finance environment.
