Fairwater Primary School is a lively, happy school offering a stimulating learning environment in a socially diverse area in the west of the City of Cardiff.
Due to the promotion of the headteacher, the governors are seeking to appoint an aspirational leader who can continue the school's improvement journey towards excellence.
We are looking to appoint a headteacher who can combine visionary leadership with proven competence in management to ensure a secure environment for the future development of the school. The governors are seeking an individual who can continue the emphasis on improving standards of teaching and learning, and who can demonstrate an ability to be responsive to individual developmental needs of both children and staff.
The inclusive ethos of the school includes the hosting of a small Well-Being Centre on behalf of the Local Authority that works to integrate children with emotional and social needs back into mainstream schooling. The headteacher will be able to support the excellent working relationships that exist between staff, governors and parents, and have the vision to identify opportunities to foster mutually supportive links between the school and the local community.
