Kent and Essex Police IT Services Department has a specialist Programme Delivery unit, whose role is to ensure that the annual ITS programme is developed, controlled, monitored, delivered and reported upon, to meet both the utility and warranty expectations of its stakeholders.
A new Project and Programme Management Office is being created and this exciting opportunity is for a part time Programme and Project Officer.
In this role you will be key to the successful delivery of vital, transformational IT projects and Programmes.
You will possess:
- Solid understanding of a project life cycle based on Prince2 methodology
- Previous experience in monitoring and recording project progress and tracking financial compliance against an agreed plan
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative, possess good organisational skills, take pride in accuracy and attention to detail, and applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked.
In your role you will have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including report writing will be needed.
You will have excellent skills levels in:
- Working with Others including communication both written and verbal
- Budget Management and Risk Management
- Decision making
- Project Management and reporting.
