Mumsnet is looking for a community manager to join our legendary [grin] community team. We need someone unflappable, with an unimpeachable command of English, who relishes a busy, fast-paced environment.

As Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for dealing with reports from our users, communicating with Mumsnetters on the talk boards, and making multiple nuanced judgement calls a day. You’ll be able to use language precisely when necessary, but be equally at ease chatting casually to MNers. You’ll have good analytical skills and the ability to lay out your ideas in logical order, as well as to clearly explain why you’ve made your decisions.
Role and responsibilities:
- Implementing Mumsnet’s Talk Guidelines in response to reports from users
- Maintaining a presence on the Mumsnet boards and communicating with Mumsnetters online
- Responding to individual user reports
- Excellent communication and, in particular, writing skills
- Unflappable, positive personality
- Able to take decisions
- Good, fast, computer skills
- Active knowledge of all social media platforms (particularly Mumsnet)
- Previous community management experience is useful, but not essential
- Degree, or an equivalent qualification
This is a full-time role based in our offices in Kentish Town, but we’d be happy to consider some flexibility for the right candidate. We’re also very happy to receive applications from people who are returning to work after a break.
