Job Title: Part - Time School Receptionist
Location: Elstree
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (13:00pm - 5:30pm)
Salary: £21,447 per annum pro rata (£10,269 per annum)

Adecco Welwyn Garden City are working with a very exciting School based in the Elstree area. Our client is looking for a Part-Time receptionist to work term time. The overview of the role is to be the front face of the Prep School, handling telephone calls and all visitors into the School. The post holder will work as an integral part of the Preparatory School; this includes dealing with support staff, teachers, pupils and parents.

Responsibilities
General Duties

* Receive all incoming telephone calls and take messages where necessary to pass to relevant member of staff.
* Be the main point of contact for parents, pupils and teaching staff for urgent messages.
* Oversee security of the school via access system and checking access in/out of all adults and children
* Greet visitors and issue visitor badges.
* Oversee Reception area; keep tidy, clean and welcoming including update of display TV, renewing literature etc
* Keep diary and log appointments for school tours and give any help to prospective parents.
* Accurately maintain all attendance register information and monitor attendance and absence, producing attendance reports as necessary.
* To provide administration support to both the office and approved tasks for teachers
* Liaison with the Transport Manager and provide information to Form Teachers on coaches and coach passes as and when required.

Skills
* Interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels
* Experience in a receptionist/ administrative role in a busy workplace
* Good levels of literacy and numeracy
* Organisational skills, accuracy, ability to organise and prioritise work
* IT skills demonstrating knowledge of MS Office suite and accurate touch typing
* Bright and professional telephone manner
* Excellent oral communication with a clear delivery
* Excellent professional personal presentation
* Ability to remain calm and focussed in busy surroundings
* Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
* Ability to pick up any task quickly and effectively
* Ability to multitask
