£26,000- £28,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours of Work:8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Friday. (40hr week with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

We are Europe’s leading manufacturer of autogenous vaccines and we are seeking an experienced Office Manager/PA who would enjoy the opportunity of providing support to the Managing Director and the Management Team whilst ensuring the smooth running of the office in a small team environment located in the lovely rural village of Compton. You will require your own transport.

Applicants will need strong planning and organising skills in addition to experience of diary management and organising overseas travel, gained whilst working at a senior level. Successful applicants will have worked previously in a fast-paced environment where confidentiality is paramount.

The Office Manager / PA role:

This is a hands-on, multi -faceted role covering human resources and financial administration, together with the management and implementation of office systems and processes. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of administrative tasks ranging from raising contracts of employment and employee relations, managing HR and financial processes through to the basic tasks of archiving, filing and maintaining personnel records. You will also act as the social secretary and First Aider and be responsible for organising company and employee events.

Responsibilities include:

Human Resources:

+ Being the main point of contact with our external HR Consultancy
+ Managing holiday and sickness records and raising any concerns
+ Managing the leavers process for employees
+ Managing the staff appraisal scheme

Office and Financial Administration:

+ PA duties for the Managing Director including diary management, organising meetings and travel arrangements
+ Conducting the annual stock take and keeping accurate records
+ Keeping Bill of Materials prices up to date
+ Provide administration support to the QA team
+ Liaising with the Company payroll providers
+ Managing petty cash
+ Bank payments of supplier invoices and payroll

About you:

The job requires the following knowledge, skills and experience:

+ Office management experience at a similar level / similar role
+ Qualified to A-level standard or equivalent
+ Excellent Microsoft Office skills
+ Experience of using Sage or a similar software
+ Understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion with the ability to exercise both
+ Multitasking and managing multiple projects
+ Making recommendations and decision making
+ Knowledge of the industry would be an advantage as would a knowledge of data protection
