You have an AAT Level 2 or above, but you aren't able to commit to a full-time role.

An exciting new position has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to assist the Financial Controller with everyday bookkeeping for a group of companies on a part time basis.

What will you be doing?

* Posting of Purchase Ledger via 'Receipt Bank' software
* Ensure accurate coding, VAT and amounts entered
* Aged Creditors reconciliations
* Take ownership of any supplier financial issues that may arise
* General accounts filing (electronic and paper)
* Posting of staff expenses
* Accruals & Prepayments analysis
* Petty Cash records
* Ad-hoc reconciliations as and when they arise
* As-hoc reporting with regards FP&A
* Support the FC with any P&L analysis as and when required
* Provide a basic level of coverage in the absence of the FC

What are we looking for?

Whilst not all the following are required, the ideal candidate will have some or all the following skills:

* Quickbooks Online experience (advantageous)
* AAT Level 2 - Intermediate or above (preferred)
* Sound double-entry book-keeping skills
* 3-4 years within an SME finance department
* Good Excel Skills
* Competent in the use of Word, Outlook, Web-based platforms & general IT
* Current, credible, hard-working, dependable, friendly and personable
* Excellent communication skills - both written & oral
* Diligent, with a keen eye for detail
* Solid organisational skills
* Team-player with strong initiative and 'can-do' attitude
* Full driver's licence (preferable)
