We have vacancies supporting adults for part-time Support Workers out in the community as part of our New Forest Outreach service. These two positions are for 20 hours per week.

About the role

Our outreach service is a 365 day-a-year service working with individuals in their own homes and supporting them to live their best possible lives, developing appropriate life skills and enjoying a wide variety of pastimes and hobbies. The people we support have varying levels of disability, and we provide support to suit their lives, needs and choices. We support people to socialise, learn life skills, to access the community and clubs that are on.

You will join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, helping them be active members of their local community. This might include going on group activities, shopping, games, going to the cinema or parks, arts & crafts, pub lunches or bowling; As well as various other activities.

Some people require help with personal care (i.e. washing hair or prompting) but most people we support are independent.

The work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable. We will provide you with full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your Frontline Manager.

What we need from you

Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn.

It is essential for this position that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, together your own transport which is insured for business use as you will transporting people around the community.

Salaries are dependent on successful completion of a 6 month probation period. Part time positions are paid pro rata.
