To optimise their performance and profitability, this company needs accurate, insightful financial information. As the Finance Manager, and it will be your job to provide it. Focusing on all aspects of the business, you will be part of the Leadership team you'll work closely with the owners and Manager Heads of the business and be accountable for the figures and profitability of our distribution and high street stores.

Day-to-day, you'll own and produce financial tasks/accounts of the business, produce monthly and year end accounts as well as engage, manage and support a very able part-qualified member of the team. You will help set and keep a close eye on the budgets, you'll produce both long and short term forecasts for the business cost areas. This will involve meeting with budget holders, reviewing previous activity and spotting new opportunities. The top quality information you provide will support financial decision making - helping us with our growth and to either reduce our costs or increase our profits - so it's important that it's both on time and accurate.

This is a hands on role so you will also be responsible for credit control and purchase ledger. You won't be afraid to role your sleeves us and get stuck in. Due to the recent opportunity to work with a big named brand, the company is likely to experience significant growth.


- You'll hold a recognised accountancy qualification (preferably AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW).
- Your business knowledge (preferably in retail & distribution) will be second to none, so working to a high standard of accuracy with excellent attention to detail will be super easy for you.
- Commercially aware, highly-organised and ruthlessly efficient, you'll be able to manage both your own workload and the development of a finance member of the team without issue.
- Personable and proactive, you'll continually demonstrate a desire to improve.
- A can do attitude
- Decent Microsoft skills
- Experience of Sage 200.
