LOCATION: Leeds, West Yorkshire

JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant/Administrator

SALARY & BENEFITS: £14,800 pro rata salary plus optional pension (25hr role, £10,725)

WORKING HOURS: The post is 25 hrs a week during normal office hours
8.00am - 6.00pm over 4 days with a flex time scheme

THE COMPANY & ROLE: Finance Assistant/Administrator- Leeds, West Yorkshire

Our Client, a national charity based in Yeadon, West Yorkshire, is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant/ Administrator to work within an existing finance and personnel team on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:- Finance Assistant/Administrator- Leeds, West Yorkshire

You will be responsible for handling incoming cash, generating sales invoices and processing financial data. You will also assist in the administration of the charities personnel data including recruitment exercises.

Previous experience of working in a similar role is preferred as is a good working knowledge of SAGE. You must have good communication skills and a high level of personal integrity and discretion.

Key skills and experience essential:- Finance Assistant/Administrator- Leeds, West Yorkshire

  • Previous experience of working in a similar accounts role highly advantageous
  • A good standard of general education(Educated to at least GCSE level Grade C or equivalent in mathematics and English language)
  • Previous experience of using SAGE, Microsoft Word and Excel software desirable
  • Previous experience of computer accounting software preferred
  • Good verbal communication skills including a good telephone manner.
  • Good written communication skills
  • A good aptitude for figure work.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Accuracy and neatness
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • An understanding of customer care which includes the ability to deal with people in a sensitive manner.
  • Ability to function well under pressure and work to deadlines
  • An understanding of and a commitment to the principles of Equal Opportunities
