Payroll Clerk/Administrator

Our client is large facilities management company. Due to expansion they need to recruit an experienced payroll clerk/administrator to join their team.

Description of Role:

To provide clerical support within the Payroll Function and other administrative duties as required by the company accountant. Nominally this would include but not be limited to:
•Payroll Data Entry from electronic data or clock cards
•Setting up starters and leavers
•Running payrolls
•Filing & maintenance of records
•Support within Accounts and Head office generally as required
•Answering the phone
•Other duties reasonably requested by officers of the company


Previous experience of working within a payroll dept. is essential along with a good working knowledge of payroll software, preferably Sage. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of taxation and legislation will be an advantage.

Work Pattern: Monday 8 hours (9am to 5pm), Tuesday 8 Hours (9am to 5pm), Wednesday 4 hours am (9am to 12 midday).

Additional Hours: In addition to base hours, you will be required to work a further 4 (four) weeks per annum full time, working hours will be increased to 40 (forty) to cover payroll team holidays. This is included within the salary. This may be extended by a further 2 (two) weeks at the company’s discretion if required and in such a case would be paid pro rata in addition to the salary stated.
