Working from their Headquarters in Rochford, you will report directly to the National Secretary providing her with administrative assistance.

Due to the nature of this role and the small size of team, we are seeking an individual who is prepared to get stuck-in to a whole variety of tasks, ranging from secretarial duties (preparation of agendas, circulation of minutes), to post-office mail runs. You will be working from a lovely listed building in the centre of Rochford which has excellent public transport links and working hours will be 9am- 5pm, two or three days a week. You will also be fulfilling literature requests from member organisations, direct members of the charity and healthcare professionals. The supplies of said products will also be your responsibility to ensure there are ample numbers available at any one time. Day-to-day duties will vary and no day will be the same, however preparation of letters, circulars etc. and general preparations for meetings and events will be involved regularly.

To be successful for this role, you must have:

* Previous experience producing complex agendas and minutes.
* Excellent all-round administrative skills proven through a solid work history.
* Proficient in the use of software packages such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work as part of a small team with a 'can do' and 'hands on' approach.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* A pleasant and caring approach when dealing with telephone enquiries.
* Ability to handle enquiries of a confidential nature.

The package:

* This is an on-going temporary position, with the potential to go permanent
* Paying £9.50 per hour
* Working hours are Thursday & Friday, 9am- 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
* Weekly pay
* A rewarding and humbling position, that really helps enlighten the lives of others.

Unfortunately there is no free parking available close to the premises.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with an old-school approach and strong work ethic to get involved with an established and well-respected charity
