The Schools' Nursery is currently looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join their committed team.

THE ROLE: As an Early Years Practitioner you will cover a wide range of tasks and duties including providing positive interaction with children, assisting with any individual needs, supporting and supervising during meal times and ensuring the children have safe and stimulating environment in which to grow and learn.

• To work, where appropriate, cooperatively with outside agencies such as the Inclusion Officer, ISI and Early Years Advisors.
• To act as an ambassador for the nursery and school by maintaining a positive image of its aims and objectives.
• To attend ALL out of working hour's activities as required, including INSET/Training days, staff meetings, parents evenings, events, etc.
• To update training and continued professional development.
• To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of all children and to abide by the Equal Opportunities Policy.
• Ensure all nursery procedures are followed correctly.
• Be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snacks, cleaning
equipment etc.
• Be a pro-active team member, offering appropriate support to your colleagues.
• Ensure care routines are followed with regards to nappy changing, toileting, sleeping and hand washing.
• To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• To keep accurate records during the nursery day, such as daily diaries and accident forms.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the role of Early Years Practitioner should be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare, possess a passion for child development and have a good working knowledge of the EYFS. You will also have excellent communication skills, a 'can do' attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Please note that candidates meeting the essential criteria will be required to complete and return a standard school application form as part of the schools recruitment policy.

Key experience essential for the Early Years Practitioner role:

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Have a level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare and Education
• Have a current DBS clearance (or be willing to undertake a new application)
• Understanding the term "safeguarding" of pupils
• Happy to complete a return a standard school application pack.
