JOB TITLE: Contracts Technical Administrator

SALARY & BENEFITS: £18,000 - £20,000 PA

WORKING HOURS: 8.00am – 5.00pm – Monday to Friday

THE ROLE: Due to continued expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Technical Administrator to join their committed team. The role is based in Hampton, Peterborough, where you will join a small dedicated team. Your overall responsibility will be to support the contracts department and its 3 project managers with a range of administration based duties.

The Contracts Technical Administrator is a varied role that will involve assisting your team members when required. This really is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team in a role that can offer progression for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities Contracts Technical Administrator:

  • Providing efficient administrative support to the Building and Civil Engineering departments.
  • Creating and maintaining drawing registers.
  • Plotting/printing and issuing drawings and documents.
  • Maintaining Toolbox Talk Registers.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Sub-Contracts Orders.
  • Chasing Sub-Contractors for insurances, signed orders and other documentation.
  • Issuing sub-contract enquires.
  • Typing up and issuing meeting minutes and file notes.
  • Preparing Handover packs for completed developments (electronic & hard copies).
  • Assembling H&S Manuals and O&M Manuals.
  • Filing
  • Other ad hoc duties as required (answering the door and phone).


THE CANDIDATE: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn. The right candidate will have an eye for detail and enjoy working as part of a small team. You should have a good level of general education (including Maths and English at GCSE O Level or equivalent), and experience of working in a busy office environment. Knowledge of using MS Office including Word and Excel is essential.

Key experience essential for the Contracts Technical Administrator role:

  • A minimum of 2 years administration /office experience
  • Good MS Office skills (word / excel)
  • English and Maths (GCSE / O level or equivalent)
  • Experience or knowledge of the construction industry desirable but not essential
