This is a part time role - 3 days per week

Role Summary

Working for a diverse charity the focus of this role is to champion the delivery of high-quality childcare and education, providing professional leadership to nursery managers, whilst promoting positive relationships with children, parents and other colleagues. You will need to be a driven individual capable of meeting operational and financial performance targets. To be the key advisor to the CEO and capable of contributing to exploiting nursery business opportunities, strategic positioning and potential partnerships.

This is a roaming position overseeing four nurseries around the Barking, Dagenham and Romford areas

Key Responsibilities

- The first point of contact for nursery managers, ensuring team remains motivated and clear on targets to be achieved.
- Ensure occupancy levels at the settings are always delivering budgetary FTE targets so as to remain commercially viable.
- Lead on all EYFS planning ensuring each setting is able to achieve the highest regulatory standard at each grading visit.
- Ensuring an ambitious SEF is always in place for each setting and reviewed regularly.
- To work with the respective local authorities and other key stakeholders ensuring our settings are always exploring ways of improving and leveraging support from EY professionals.
- To have an outstanding relationship with the internal stakeholders and operational managers
- To provide advice and information to CEO and SMT in order that they can make strategic decisions in line with the social and economic needs of families within the relevant communities
- Assist the CEO and SMT to raise the profile of the charity as a provider that is recognised and respected by key influencers and an obvious choice of potential partners and investors.

Applicant Requirements

- Higher level Early Years Qualification
- Experience of running nurseries
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with good communication and administration skills
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to nurture relationships with key stakeholders including parents and external partners
