A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for an independent, award winning education provider in Blackburn.

Due to organisational restructure, our client now seek to bring their HR functionality in-house and therefore seek an accomplished HR professional to initiate internal HR processes. Initially the role will involve establishing HR software, the review and re-organisation of paperwork and policies and the overhaul of human resources procedures. Ultimately, this role will evolve to encompass employee relations and engagement and the reinforcement of a strong working culture.

The company can offer a great deal of flexibility on working hours for the right candidate, and initially request someone willing to work part-time; the hours are likely to increase through the evolvement of the role. Your role will be to support a multi-site operation, reporting directly into senior management. You will be working at both an operational and strategic level taking accountability for the HR function for circa 200 employees.

As HR Manager your role will include:
* Maintaining a dual strategic and operational HR remit
* Establishing core HR operations into the organisation, including the procurement and instillation of a human resources software
* Focusing initially on process management - you will manage HR responsibilities across recruiting and staffing logistics, organisational planning, systems improvement, policy development and documentation management
* Following the initial implementation of HR process to the business, the scope of the role will transition into leading new projects including enhancing employee relations though the development of employee communication, benefits packages and employee welfare, wellness and health
* Leading and inspiring the wider team to embrace new HR processes
* Partnering the leadership team in shaping the people strategy for the business and providing all reporting and information for the leadership team as well as providing operational support to management teams
* Supporting management with talent acquisition, career pathways and talent identification

The HR Manager must:
* Hold a CIPD qualification and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Be a strong HR generalist and be creative and focused on culture and engagement
* Be bright, articulate and highly knowledgeable across human resources
* Be confident in establishing HR process from the 'ground up'
* Have natural abilities in change management through effective leadership and stakeholder management
