LOCATION: Derry, Londonderry
JOB TITLE: Accounts Administrator / Finance Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependent on previous experience or qualifications
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00pm (40 hours per week - 0.5hr lunch)

They are committed to safety and quality service delivery in line with industry best practice and now seek an experienced Accounts Administrator / Finance Assistant with Payroll processing experience to join their existing Accounts Team based in Derry, Londonderry.

THE ROLE: As an Accounts Administrator / Finance Assistant you will be based in Derry, Londonderry and will work alongside an existing Accounts & Finance team where you will offer a wide range of administrative and accounts based support,

Key Duties for the Accounts Administrator / Finance Assistant's role :-

  • Answering telephones and dealing with any customer queries
  • Raising Customer Invoices
  • Processing bank payments and receipts
  • Processing of company credit card expenditure
  • Booking and arranging staff travel
  • Maintaining company vehicle information
  • Processing of payroll
  • Preparing bank reconciliation's
  • Assistant the Directors / Managers with relevant admin / financial queries on an ad-hoc basis

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Accounts Administrator / Finance Assistant's role must be well educated with a minimum of a Grade C GCSE (or equivalent qualification) in Maths and must have at least 1 years experience in a busy accounts or finance role. It is essential you have at least 1 years experience in payroll processing, have experience using Microsoft Excel and are a highly organised person with strong mathematical ability and excellent attention to detail. Although not essential, candidates with Sage 200 experience would be desirable as would candidates holding any relevant accountancy, finance or bookkeeping qualifications. Candidates must live within commutable distance to Derry, Londonderry and due to location must have a valid Driving Licence and use of their own vehicle.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Accounts Administrator / Finance Assistant's role in :-
  • At least 1 years experience in a busy Accounts or finance based role essential
  • At least 1 years experience in payroll processing essential
  • Must have a minimum of a Grade C GCSE (or equivalent qualification) in Maths
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel essential
  • Flexibility in relation to varying business demands
  • Valid Driving Licence and use of own vehicle essential

Desirable Criteria :-

  • Experience using Sage 200 Accounts and Sage Payroll
  • Experience in a Construction/Engineering Environment - including job costing
  • Level 3 or above Accounts, Financial or Bookkeeping qualification highly desirable
