Location: South Woodford, London.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join this growing busy, in South Woodford, London on a Part-time basis.
You should have a hands-on approach as well as have the ability to build constructive relationships with the rest of the team.

You must be able to articulate well in a clear manner; excellent written and verbal communication is vital. You should be a great multitasker and have great attention to detail.

You will be able to work to strict deadlines (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure Accounts and payments are on time.

The successful candidates will have at least 2 years solid accountancy experience in an all-round accounting position with AAT level 3 or upwards will be considered. Alternatively, we will also consider bright Accountancy graduates or candidates with excellent administration skills, with a hunger to learn and progress.

The role will involve but will not be limited to:

• Checking and inputting Timesheets
• Raising daily sales invoices according to timesheets received.
• Chase timesheet information as required
• Credit control and debtor ledger reconciliation and management
• Processing purchase invoices and preparing payment runs
• Credit card statement processing and reconciliation
• Recording payments
• Updating the purchase ledger
• Processing receipts, sales invoices and payments
• Weekly invoices
• Reconcile bank statements
• Chasing bad debts
• Assisting with the vat returns
• Communication with suppliers and customers by telephone, email and post
• Resolving any payment queries
• Raising credit notes

You will need:

• 2 years’ experience
• AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma or Upwards (Alternatively Accountancy graduate or candidate, with can-do attitude)
• Sound knowledge and previous experience of Purchase and Sales Ledger essential
• Good understanding of accounting procedures required
• Experience of Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word essential
• Good level of numeracy skills
• Good communication skills, develops good relationships across the organisation and with external suppliers, resolving queries etc.
• Ability to analyse straightforward data reports and accounts
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Well organised and able to prioritise own working day ensuring deadlines are meet

• Knowlegde of the Rail and Construction Industry is an advantage.
