JOB TITLE: Anaesthetic Administrator

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependant on experience

WORKING HOURS: Part time – Wednesday – Friday 8 hours per day

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a private hospital that offers the latest facilities and technology for the care of patients from Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Stratford and surrounding areas with a wide range of surgical and medical requirements. Due to retirement they are now looking for an Anaesthetic Administrator to join the Mid Warwickshire Anaesthetic Chambers which consists of 17 anaesthetists based at the hospital.

THE ROLE: The role of Anaesthetic Administrator is a largely autonomous role, the administrator should provide an Administrative service seeking the guidance of the Chairman/Deputy Chairman when necessary to meet the requirements of all users of the service provided ensuring that the highest possible standard of service is delivered both medically and administratively.

Key Responsibilities for the Anaesthetic Administrator role to include:-

• Responding to day to day requirements of changing theatre lists at all Hospitals and any other requests for the provision of anaesthetic services
• Deal with incoming, e mails and phone calls
• In conjunction with theatre Manager and where appropriate discuss opportunities for smooth running of lists and managing anaesthetists’ time efficiently.
• Produce in advance weekly anaesthetic rota and weekend roster and on all call roster
• Advise surgeons, where appropriate, of their named anaesthetist for the forthcoming week
• Respond to enquiries from pre op teams and organise pre op consultations whenever necessary
• Ensure that all invoicing , paying in and credit control is carried out in line with standard accounting procedures
• Ensure that all financial matters are dealt with including payment of invoices
• Act as liaison between surgeons, patients, nursing and all other hospital and other personnel whenever required

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate needs to be extremely self motivated with strong problem solving skills. You will have to deal with a high level of responsibility and be a confident communicator face to face and over the phone. You will need to work autonomously and be able to prioritise and problem solve on a daily basis. Ideally you will have experience working within the healthcare sector, however this is not essential.

Key experience essential for the role of the Anaesthetic Administrator:-

• A minimum of 1 years' Administration experience
• Live within a commutable distance to Leamington Spa
