What do we do?
Our service in Okehampton specialises in providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities who live in their own homes as part of our friendly and vibrant Okecroft supported living scheme.

Each of our customers have their own personalised support plan which is made up of a selection of services that support and empower them to live independently. So whether it’s helping customers to get out of bed, preparing meals, assisting with medication, helping around the house, delivering personal care or even taking them to do their weekly food shop, our carers are there to make sure our customers are fully supported to continue to live in their own home and maintain their independence.

What we’re looking for
Making sure our customers are cared for by the right people with the right values is our top priority. You will need to be friendly, committed and hardworking with a caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference to people’s lives. Previous care experience is essential but you will attend our intensive induction training programme to fully equip you with any additional knowledge or specific skills required to work in a Supported Living service.

We make sure we’re always there for our customers when they need us so our night staff are available from 10pm-8am, 7 days a week. As a waking nights assistant, you will a total of 30 hours per week (3 x 10 hour shifts over 3 days) - including alternate weekends when required.
