We have an exciting opportunity for a stand out Marketing Executive to join one of the UK's largest regional newspaper publishers. This highly regarded multi-media company have an extensive portfolio of hundreds of publications and websites, as well as having recently acquired national multi award winning paper i. The company has grown from strength to strength over its 200 years in publication, to forge their way to the new digital age by developing new exciting online products.

We now are in need of a Marketing Executive to join the growing Marketing Team here in the Peterborough office. This role is a fantastic chance to make your mark and drive forward the communications plan for our B2B marcomms activity.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll be at the forefront of driving the growth of our advertising products and marketing services through implementing our content strategy and engagement programs via digital marketing activities such as display advertising and social media, alongside traditional methods.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 year work based experience, have an outgoing creative personality but also hold the discipline to be self-motivated to ensure all deadlines are met and push on colleagues and outside sources to ensure this is adhered to. With the right person there are excellent career prospects and room for progression.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES, Marketing Executive Peterborough:

• Work with the marketing team and other colleagues across the business to implement marketing campaigns using creative and digital media.
• Liaise with external agencies to develop the design and messaging of marcomms creatives.
• Coordinate and deliver the content marketing and amplification plan through a variety of channels to nurture leads through a journey.
• Dive into the database to deliver targeted CRM campaigns to engage, retain and reactivate customers.
• Manage organic and paid social media activities on a daily basis.
• Support the population of regular reports, including the evaluation and detailed insights on the performance of marketing campaigns.
• Have strong communication internally with stakeholders and sales staff while supporting them with marketing material to aid their conversations.
• Become a brand advocate and deliver the above with absolute passion and dedication.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA, Marketing Executive:

• Degree in a marketing related discipline
• 2 year experience minimum in digital marketing role
• Excellent team working, interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Creative skills, including an ability to write persuasive copy
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
• Self-starter who is able to work independently and thrive under pressure
• Good attention to detail


• Content marketing experience
• Previous experience in B2B marcomms (lead scoring would be highly beneficial)
• Media / publishing background
• CIM / IDM qualification
• Experience of using HubSpot
• Experience of using Salesforce
• Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
