JOB TITLE: Part Time Administration Assistant

LOCATION: Burnley, Lancashire

REFERENCE: TSLGJ1214

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary depending on experience.
WORKING HOURS: 9 – 1 Monday to Friday. (Some extra hours may be available from time to time but not essential if not possible)

THE COMPANY: Our client’s office is shared by three companies. Our main client is a refrigeration wholesale company who purchase from other UK companies, the EEC and America and distribute throughout the UK, mainly to trade/contracting companies. The second client within the building sells electronic controls from Germany, again mainly within the UK. The third client is a specialist training centre providing NVQ and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning training courses.

THE ROLE: Although employed by our main client, in practice duties will cross over all the companies, hence the need for flexibility and an ability to work under pressure if required.
The office has recently undergone some restructuring following the retirement of two people last year so there is some flexibility in the duties and the form the role will take depending on individual background and experience.
Key overall responsibilities / duties on behalf of the three companies:
Telephone, dealing with customers and taking/giving accurate information
Data Entry (Excel and Sage 50 – training can be given if not familiar with Sage)
Some preparation of quotations
Usual filing, emails etc
Some course bookings (Excel spreadsheet)
Preparation of course notes
Candidate management (certificates, updating records etc)

Sales are received via email and telephone so these are key areas for the initial point of contact.

Equally, there is also flexibility to develop the Administration Assistant role as time goes on.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role or environment. The successful Part Time Administration Assistant will be computer literate as there will be daily use of a computer, in particular Email (Outlook), Word and Excel. Any knowledge of Sage 50 an advantage but training can be given.

Key experience essential for the role of Part Time Administration Assistant based in Burnley, Lancashire:

Will live within a commutable distance of Burnley, Lancashire
Must have previous experience in a similar role or environment
Will be computer literate with a good comprehension of Microsoft Packages
Any experience of Sage 50 will be highly advantageous but not essential
