Purpose of role:

We’re a high-growth Cloud first company that is passionate about using big data analytics, machine learning and cutting edge technology to revolutionise the way that global corporates protect themselves from criminal activity, potential fraud and would-be money launderers. The Project Manager will make sure that all infrastructure related, new product development and client projects are run efficiently and effectively.

As a Project Manager, you will have direct responsibility and accountability for the delivery of projects from inception through to the successful operational running of the agreed deliverable. The role requires a flexible approach to reflect rapidly changing business needs whilst applying robust project management practices across a portfolio of related projects.

Key to success will be the effective management of senior stakeholders through timely and relevant communications while providing strong leadership and direction to cross–functional delivery teams.

You may also have a solid grounding in Business Analysis with experience of working on complex problems. You'll be passionate about moving our BA capability forwards: driving new ways of working and equipping the W2 team with the best tools and techniques to deliver results.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan following best practices to fulfill business or client requirements.
  • Management of third party suppliers and resources assigned to the project
  • Leads and manages project and resource schedules assigning and tracking tasks planned for the project team
  • Manage project scope and change control and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Complete project weekly status reports and help prepare Senior Management Team (SMT) updates (if needed)
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time, to budget and within agreed specifications.
  • Own and run project reviews, ensuring lessons learned and best practices are absorbed and integrated into business and project processes.

Person Specification (Qualifications, experience, skills, personal attributes required to do this role)

The Project Manager will have a collaborative approach and attitude, with the ability to work with colleagues in many different roles, to move projects and programs forward and to make people feel listened to like they’re owning the change. Someone with a strong commercial focus in all areas of delivery, relationship management, and the identification of both opportunities and risk. Capability to thrive under pressure: you are most comfortable working in a fast moving environment, spinning multiple plates at any one time. With astute self-awareness: you are aware of your strengths and weaknesses, and have a continued focus on personal development. Your technical expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions which have great customer experience.

  • Must have at least 3 years of work experience in a SaaS, Cloud or similar technical position.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment is desirable.
  • You will also need an understanding of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure (desirable).
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); conception to delivery in an AGILE business.
  • The ability to identify and manage conflicting requirements in a project environment.
  • The ability to understand and deliver against specified procedures expeditiously and accurately.
  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
  • Must have proven problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

You will understand the business capabilities, customer pain points and drivers for change within the customer and digital domain. Working hours: Your weekly hours are 37.5 per week with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

Disclosure and Barring Service: Your employment is subject to a satisfactory completion of a DBS check.

Pension: The Company operates a pension scheme and, in compliance with the employer pension duties under the Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Auto Enrolment) Regulations 2010, you will be enrolled as an active member of this scheme (or such other registered pension scheme as may be established by the Company to replace the scheme) from day 91 of your employment, subject to your eligibility.

Death in Service: Upon completion of the Probationary period you are entitled to join the Death in Service Scheme.

Share Option Scheme: You will be entitled to join a share option scheme under the Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI) scheme.

Holidays: You are entitled to 33 days’ paid holiday during each holiday year. This is made up of 22 days annual holiday plus 8 Statutory Bank and Public holidays (pro rata for part time staff). You will also receive your birthday off each year (or the closest working day) and 1 additional day if no sick leave is taken from 01/01 - 30/06 and 1 additional day if no sick leave is taken 01/07 - 31/12 each year.

Company Mobile Phone and Company Laptop: If required in the course of your work the Employer will provide you with a company mobile phone and company laptop for use in the performance of your duties; this must be carried on you at all times and should only be used for work purposes
