We have a vacancy for a Waking Nights Support Worker in our service in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.


About the role

The three older gentleman we support in this service are housed in the Underdale area of Shrewsbury and you will play a key part in assisting them to live as independently as possible. You will be available during the night to provide physical support and emotional reassurance when they are wakeful; checking at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. Sometimes personal care or medication may also be required.

Waking night duty runs from 22.00hrs to 07.00hrs.

The work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable. We will provide you with full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your Head of Service.


What we need from you

Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn.

Salaries are dependent on successful completion of a 6 month probation period. Part time positions are paid pro rata.
