Our client is looking for a highly organised and self-motivated finance professional to take responsibility for the management of Purchase Ledger and to support the Financial Controller in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the nominal ledger.

As their Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounts payable activities. This will involve resolving discrepancies, reconciling supplier statements and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.

Meticulous and thorough, you will ensure that invoice details are accurate and assist in the preparation of reports as required. This role will also involve ensuring that suppliers are paid on time.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in raising and processing invoices and payments and will be able to demonstrate good numeracy and analytical skills. A competent Excel user, you will ideally be AAT qualified or part-qualified with 5+ A to C level GCSEs or equivalent (including a minimum B grade or equivalent in English and Maths).

They need an exceptional communicator with a professional telephone manner and the confidence to liaise effectively with other areas of the business and suppliers. This role would suit someone who can work collaboratively, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines without compromising on quality
