Office Angels are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Events and Marketing Assistant. This is a part-time role but on a permanent basis, located in Edinburgh. Office hours are to be 16 hours per week over two days, to be worked between Monday - Friday, 9-5pm. Salary up to £20,000 per annum pro rata.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will assist and/or deputise for The Operations Manager with the efficient management of a large number of events at the company. You will be responsible for following-up enquiries for events, producing contracts, customer liaison and overseeing the event to completion. Working with the Office Manager at proactively marketing the activities such as concerts, exhibitions social events with relevant groupings. Overall, this is a wide-ranging role that requires expertise in event management, customer liaison and marketing. The role requires a flexible and proactive approach.

General Responsibilities & Duties:

* Provide 'front-of-house' response to telephone, email and in-person enquires for delegated events.
* Be the customer focal point for subsequent administration, contract and liaison up to the event.
* Oversee and/or assist with setting-up for events (moving furniture/erecting lighting etc).
* Oversee events outside core hours (as Duty Manager - which attracts separate payment).
* Assist OM with the implementation of the communication policy,
* Liaise with Office Co-Ordinator (OC) and OM to ensure the web diary, office diary are synchronised keeping all stakeholders informed
* Assist with producing Outreach marketing and publicity material within branding guidelines for website, social media, hard copy display and circulation
* Regularly update pre and post event information (with accompanying visual/audio material) for the website, social media (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) and printed material

Experience, Skills, Attributes Required:

* Excellent command of the English language.
* Excellent oral and inter-personal skills.
* Strong skills in developing links with members of the congregation, customers, potential clients and stakeholders.
* University degree or degree equivalent.
* Proven expertise with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook.
* Proven experience of website and social medial development and design
* Proven ability to work on own initiative to agreed plans and targets.
* A good organiser.
* Pro-active and flexible.
* Physically fit (including moving staging, chairs and ascend ladders).
