Operations and Logistics Controller
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Operations/Logistics Controller for a small and successful business based on the outskirts on Winchester.
This is a crucial role in the business as it will be responsible for managing the stock orders and manufacturing process from start to finish.
The key duties include:
·Placing and processing stock orders
·Liaising with overseas manufacturers to ensure all stock is manufactured correctly and on time
·Ensuring all stock is shipped on time
·Track all orders throughout the process
·Split certain orders to ensure they are shipped to the correct location
·Monitor and prioritise all manufacturer payments in line with the allocated budget
·Create and manage a new system (on MS Excel) to show and monitor the whole logistics process
The ideal candidate will have:
·Experience working in a similar role with overseas manufacturers
·Excellent organisation skills
·Experience working to a budget and prioritising tasks accordingly
·An advanced working knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel)
·Outstanding communication skills
This is a permanent office based opportunity but there may be the odd requirement to travel abroad to meet a manufacturer. Due to the location of this business, own transport is essential.
The client will consider full or part time candidates and will pay an annual salary of up to £35,000 depending on the candidate.
