Are you looking for a change in career? Could you work with adults who have learning disabilities, helping them live more independently? No experience needed.



We are looking for full-time (38 hpw) and part-time (various) Support Workers in our services in Eastleigh. We're also looking for Relief (Bank) staff at £7.65 per hour (a holiday entitlement pay is added per hour).





About the role



At this service, we provide 24 x 7 support to seven adults aged 61 to 85 years, who have learning disabilities. Some also have medical conditions including diabetes and epilepsy, and some people require support with personal care.



You will enable people to live as independently as possible, supporting them with activities such as shopping, cooking, housekeeping, medical appointments and understanding money. You will join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, which include bingo, day trips, coffee shops and visiting the local garden centre. Some of the people we support may display behaviour that challenges and you will receive full training in how to manage this.



You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and sleep-ins. Normal shifts are 07:30 to 14:30 and 14:30 to 21:00.There may be occasional night cover.

Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn.
