Children's Support Worker / Enablement officer
Vetro Recruitment are seeking Children's Support Workers in Southampton
£8.25 rising to £8.50 per hour upon completion of probation.
We are looking for strong, confident Children's Support Workers to join a new team in Southampton.
You will be working with children who have learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. The young people may have communication difficulties so require their team members to have patience.
The key to being successful in this role is having the right values and attitudes. The role will involve lots of activities both in and out of the home such as playing video games, arts and crafts, bowling, swimming and much more. You will need to be an active person who likes to have fun and likes to play!
We are looking for full time, part time and/or casual staff to help these young people have a great life and to give their family the support they need.
Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential. NVQ 2 or above is also desirable but not essential.
You will be working alongside a Certified Behaviour Analyst to provide a structured support programme for the young people and their families, to ensure care and support is provided in a safe manner.
